| Trevor Sturgeon |
 Mr. Sturgeon, The founder has experience as an administrator and counselor at high schools in Canada and, for the past 10 years, has worked as a college counselor at two highly respected international schools.
Trevor is currently a high school counselor at Singapore American School. Previously, he worked for several years at International School Manila (ISM) where he served as High School Counselor and Department Head of Counseling PK-12. Before working overseas, he was a High/Middle School Principal in Canada. Trevor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of New Brunswick, as well as a Bachelor of Education from McGill University, one of Canada’s most prestigious universities. In addition, he holds a Masters degree in Counseling is currently completing a Masters of Educational Leadership degree from Deakin University in Australia. Trevor has visited over 100 college campuses in the US and Canada. He has organized and coordinated numerous counseling and college programs and presentations for students, parents and teachers on a wide variety of topics related to the college admissions process. Trevor has also authored the International School Manila website and its’ "College Planning Guide." He is past Vice President for the Overseas Association of College Admission Counseling. |
| Dawn Betts |
 Mrs. Betts is a counselor at Singapore American School where she has been employed for eight years. Prior to moving to Singapore, Dawn worked at International School Bangkok and the American School of Kuwait. She holds a Masters degree in Counseling from University of Buffalo, a Masters in Education from Buffalo State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University. Her college counseling experience is enhanced by 20 years of working with students as well as with her two children; her son attends University of Oregon and her daughter is a junior at Singapore American School. In addition to working with students as a Counselor, Dawn has coached the Swimming and Cross-Country teams at SAS. |
| Jack Shull |
 Jack Shull has worked at four American/International Schools during the past 25 years as a counselor and as Director of Counseling and Special Services. He started his overseas career at the American School in Stavanger, Norway then moved to St. John's International School in Belgium and then to the International School Bangkok (ISB) for ten years and now is in his 16th year working at Cairo American College (CAC).
Jack has given numerous presentations at international conferences on the topics of advising college bound students, Crisis Management in International Schools, and effective K to 12 Guidance Programs. He has written articles on college admissions, and developed programs and workshops for high school students who wish to study in North American and the United Kingdom. Mr. Shull has been an active member of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) serving on many committees including the Technology Committee. He is the past president of the Overseas Association of College Admissions (OACAC) and one of the founding members of that organization. Jack is also an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACAC). He has been an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University in Virginia where Jack taught a graduate course in 'International School Counseling' and the American University in Cairo teaching in the Graduate School of Education program.
Jack holds a B.S. in Psychology and Education, a M.S. in Counseling and Guidance, and an Ed.S in Education Administration with a concentration in Leadership. |
| Ray Marx |
 Ray Marx has spent a large portion of his educational career in Quito,Ecuador. Born in Canada, and raised in the United States, he received his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University and then spent one year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Baltimore, MD. He earned his M.A. in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago and eventually moved to Ecuador where he spent five years as an IB English teacher at Colegio Americano de Quito. In addition, he started his own Adventure Travel Company in South America before moving to the Navajo Reservation in Arizona where he worked as a school administrator for two years, earned his E.S.L. certification and began a second M.A. in high school counseling. He returned to Ecuador five years ago and began working as the director of college counseling. He completed a college counseling certificate through UCLA's on-line program. He serves on OACAC's board as the Vice-President for Membership and is a member of NACAC. |
